Steel piles are made of steel metal. It is suitable for soft thick ground. Normally it is used for large construction projects. A steel pile can be a rolled steel section, a fabricated shape, or a piece of sheet pile. Two or more sections of sheet piles may be joined together in a box shape and driven as a single pile.
Steel piles can carry a huge quantity of load. It can bear up to 100 tons per pile. Due to its high load-carrying capacity, it is used for foundations of large structures with heavy loads.
If we consider its size to other types of concrete foundations, it is very economical compared to conventional concrete foundations. Some benefits are it is easy to customize, transport, and easy to connect. Usually, it is used for pile foundation to carry a high amount of load.

1. Pipe Piles
pipe piles work like an end-bearing pile or friction pile. These piles are seamless steel piles made by welding. Pipe piles can be driven open or closed.
2. Screw Piles or Helical Piles
Screw piles are made of cast iron or steel. These piles form long shafts whose end is either helical form or screw base.
3. Disc Steel Piles
The structure of a disc steel pile is similar to a screw pile, which consists of a solid cast iron pile with a cast-iron disc attached to a base.
4. H-piles
The rolled steel H- pile acts as a bearing pile which is a newly developed technology in the pilling industry. H piles produce large impact stress during hard driving.
