Role Overview: NDT Inspector Level III As an NDT Inspector Level III, your role will encompass various responsibilities aimed at ensuring quality, compliance, and safety within the Energy sector, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry. You’ll be a vital part of the Quality Control (QC) team, and your tasks will include:

  • Assisting in quality planning and creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality documents.
  • Leading and coordinating the QC teams, ensuring optimal resource planning and a motivated workforce.
  • Monitoring daily NDT activities and evaluating technicians’ qualifications and experiences.
  • Reviewing and approving NDT procedures before client submissions.
  • Evaluating NDT results and signing off on NDT reports.
  • Conducting surprise audits for third-party NDT companies.
  • Training and leading NDT technicians in successful completion of applicable NDT methods.
  • Issuing non-conformity reports and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensuring efficient job execution, accurate paperwork maintenance, and adherence to company and legislative standards.
  • Serving as a central communication point for product quality issues across departments.
  • Actively participating in problem-solving and solution finding.
  • Maintaining related SOPs and ensuring compliance with official standards and specifications.
  • Promoting health and safety initiatives and acting as a safety delegate.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of various safety practices and regulations, including handling hazardous materials, electrical safety, work permit systems, and fire prevention.

Qualifications and Requirements: To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (Preference to certifications in inspection/testing and related disciplines).
  • NDT Level III certification in UT/MPI.
  • 3-5 years of experience in seamless pipes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with UT Phased Array techniques (preferred).
  • Supervisory and training experience.
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of NDT specifications and inspection.
  • General computer literacy.
  • Detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to mentor and direct the work of others.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic and French language skills are a plus.
