How to Apply Pebbledash on the Surface of Wall?

Step by step procedure of pebbledash are listed below.

  • Mix lime with water and deodorize, cover, or hydrate according to manufacturer’s instructions within 24 hours.
  • Mix 1 part of slaked lime with 1 part of cement and 6 parts of sand.
  • Keep the trowel horizontal and use its edge to create a layer of flat, smooth base on the wall. Let the base dry for 30 minutes to an hour, then scoop the surface with a notched trowel to raise the surface to help the second coat adhere. Rinse the pebbles thoroughly and drain. Place them in a large bucket or container that you can place under the wall where the pebbles are.
  • For a top coat of 5 parts sand, mix 1 part slaked lime and 1 part cement. Apply this to the wall with a trowel in a smooth, even layer.
  • Spread the wrap under the wall. This allows you to catch fallen pebbles and easily collect and reuse them until the wall is covered.
  • Place a bucket of pebbles under the wall and use your other hand to pick up some pebbles with a trowel. Throw a pebble at the wall. Continue throwing pebbles into the wall until the pebbles are evenly covered from top to bottom. Gently press the pebble into the wall with the flat side of the trowel. Let it dry for 24 hours.
