4. Designated Mix

These are mixes where the proportions of the constituent materials are specified by the engineer or the architect based on their knowledge and experience of the project requirements.

These mixes are usually used in special applications where the concrete performance requirements are very high, such as nuclear power plants, offshore structures, and high-performance concrete applications.
