Normally there are 4 types of sway bars are used in the vehicles: 1. Solid Sway Bar, 2. Hollow Sway Bar, 3. Splined Sway Bar, 4. Active Sway Bar.

1. Solid Sway Bar
This is one of the most well-known types of stabilizers. This is a sturdy U-shaped metal rod that connects one wheel of the same axle to the other wheel. These anti-roll bars are most commonly used in modern vehicles. These bars are heavier than other types of stabilizers. However, they have high durability and long service life.
2. Hollow Sway Bars
These bars are very similar in design to solid stabilizers. The main difference is that the inside of the hollow anti-roll bar is hollow. These rods have a long service life and high performance. They are more expensive than solid sticks. However, it is lightweight and durable. They are very popular in high-performance cars.
3. Splined Sway Bar
These are straight bars. The inner vicinity of the splined sway bar is strong or hollow. It works further than the conventional bar, however, it rotates at once at the connecting arm.
The splined sway bars are maximum typically used for racing and high-overall performance cars. It`s smooth to install so that you can regulate the music vehicle for the route you’re racing that day.
4. Active Sway Bar
The active anti-roll bar system is an electronic system. The engine control unit (ECU) is used to control this system. The ECU’s computer uses actuators and sensors to change the vehicle’s suspension system when turning. This bar is lighter and offers the best performance than other types of stabilizers. They are most commonly used in high-end vehicles.
