Job Summary:
- Coordination and supervision of all permanent and temporary structural works design engineers, draughtsman and associated staff.
- Supervision of external permanent and temporary structural works design consultants on technical matters to ensure compliance with relevant design briefs.
- To check parameters in terms of concrete, rebar and stressing quantities for the permanent works to ensure estimated quantities are not exceeded.
- Liaison with section managers to ensure efficient communication, immediate response to design/ construction related queries and timely transfer of drawings/documents.
- Co-ordination of temporary civil works design.
- Solution of design problems relating to permanent civil works design elements.
- Liaison with permanent and temporary civil works design consultants as and when required and checking of any associated drawings and documents.
- Arrange for the necessary approval of permanent civil works materials by the appropriate design consultant.
- Monitoring of costs associated with permanent structural works designs, value engineering and preparation of weekly reports.
- Supervision of in-house planning section and monitoring of the progress of the works relating to the contract program.
Qualification/Skill/Experience:
- Bachelor’ Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 10+years experience in the construction industry.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in project management of civil construction.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Ms Office.
- Experience in REVIT is considered an added value.
