Job Description
United Business Group for Contracting (UBGC), an established Construction and Contracting Company, is offering a job opportunity for a Civil Engineer in Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will be responsible for various roles and responsibilities related to construction site management and project execution.
The ideal candidate should possess the ability to understand the entire life cycle of a project on an end-to-end basis. This includes managing a complete construction site, encompassing both structural and architectural works. The Civil Engineer should be proficient in preparing Bar Bending Schedules, allotting work to laborers, and maintaining schedules of material used and available on the site.
Moreover, the candidate must be well-versed in surveying activities using tools like total stations and be capable of plotting line levels on the construction site. Supervision of steelwork for slabs, beams, and columns before concreting, as well as arranging and checking equipment before concreting work starts, will be part of the responsibilities.
Furthermore, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for the supervision of all work stages, ensuring high quality and accuracy of finishing works. Implementing QA/QC procedures for all works during the project is essential. The candidate should have stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate effectively with consultants at the site, preparing RFIs and handling any site requests.
Desired Candidate Profile
The position is open to candidates of any nationality. The preferred educational qualifications include a Diploma in Architecture or Civil Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, or a related field. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably more, and must be male.
